Huskies lose to #1 seed Christian Heritage

It was another cold day in November and we were playing the #1 seed Christian Heritage and the Brooks School in MA, but the girls were ready to give everything they had.  We came out a little slow during the first part of the game.  Christian Heritage was a very skilled and experienced team and we struggle with their possession game. The girls only had one full day of rest coming off an emotionally, and physically exhausting game against Gould and the tired legs showed in the first half.  We gave up an early goal and put our heads down at first.  However, with strong leadership from our three captains, Ashley Cowley, Delaney Feeney and Erin Butler, we made a strong come back in the second half. Sophomore Naomi Balon was an anchor in both the midfield and at striker, and put a great deal of pressure on the opposition.   We just couldn’t get the goal we needed and fell to a very good team, 0-1.  Overall, a simply wonderful season and with only 3 seniors leaving the team we can hope for great things to come in the future.
