Huskies Advance to NEPSAC Semis

We believed that the soccer season was finished after our tough loss in the MAISAD final, but to our pleasant surprise, we earned a bid to the NEPSAC playoffs as the 5th seed.  However, we had to play our rival again for the 4th time this season, Gould.   The game was played at a neutral site at Berwick Academy, and was the most exciting game of the season.  Both teams came to play and the action yet again went back and forth all game.  Emma Knowles in goal made save after save to keep the talented offense of Gould off the board and that seemed to inspire our entire team.  However, after 80 minutes of play, the game was tied at 1-1 and we were heading into two overtime periods.  During the first overtime period, Midfielder Delaney Feeney with a perfect pass found a sprinting Lisa Fredrickkson who slotted a perfect shot past the onrushing Gould keeper.  It was our first victory against Gould in three years. We now move on to face the defending NEPSAC Class D champions, Christian Heritage School.
