Huskies with huge win at Rangeley

The Huskies ended their regular season in style with a resounding victory over previously 16-1 Rangeley by 24 points.
Kents Hill played well from the start but led by only 2 at the end of the first quarter. In the second, the Huskies turned up their defense and outscored the Lakers by 14 points in the quarter to take a 16 point lead into the half. In the third quarter Kents Hill pushed the lead to 22 and cruised to the win. Jarni Hewins led the way for KH with 14 points, followed by Rose Jenkins with 13, and Josie Harper-Cunningham with 10. Naomi McGadney and Charlotte Harper-Cunningham added 8 points apiece for the Huskies, who end the regular season on an 8 game win streak to finish 12-6.
Tuesday's playoff preliminary game will be at Sacopee Valley. Should Kents Hill earn the win, they will make a trip to the Augusta Civic Center for the state tournament.
