Kents Hill utilizes MyKidsSpending for expected fees, which may include academic courses, transportation, athletics and activities, residential life, and more. Expected fees may include, but are not limited to: 

• Senior and Postgraduate Year charges will appear on the account statement in May and will include cap and gown, diploma, and brick for the Alumni Walkway. These charges amount to approximately $175.
• Dual-Enrollment courses range from $120 - $200 per course depending on college and course selected. Please consult the teacher and course syllabus for more details.
• Art and woodworking classes range from $25 - $250 per course. Please consult the teacher and course syllabus for more details.
• Costs for testing may include AP Exams ($94/exam), PSAT ($18/test), ACT ($51/test), SAT ($48/test), TOEFL ($205/test).  Please consult the Director of College Counseling for more details.
• Estimated Yearbook fee is $80. 
• Student ID replacement is $25 after the first replacement.
• Textbooks range from $150 - $500+ per academic year.
• The equestrian program is approximately $1640/season.

Kents Hill requires a nonrefundable deposit of $3,500 for all students to reserve space for the next school year. The deposit will be applied toward tuition. To pay your enrollment deposit via credit card online, please click here to be taken to our payment portal.

For your convenience, we offer three different payment options:

Full Payment: One payment of Kents Hill School Tuition and Fees plus the cost of the Tuition Refund Plan is made on or before June 15 or the subsequent enrollment date. A discount of one (1) percent will be credited to your My Kids Spending Account (MKS) by the Business Office.

Two Payments: Payment of 60 percent of the Kents Hill School Tuition and Fees plus the cost of the Tuition Refund Plan by June 15 and payment of the remaining 40 percent by October 15. A $100 setup fee is charged to the student's account.

Monthly Payments: Payment of Kents Hill School Tuition and Fees in equal installments, starting in June and ending in March, through the SchoolAdmin Parent Portal. The Tuition Refund Plan fee will be billed along with the first payment, and a $100 setup fee is charged to the student's account. This payment plan requires the use of automatic payment from a bank account (ACH).

Third-Party Providers

Your Tuition Solution offers tuition financing through flexible payment plans and an easy online application process.

The Hanover Insurance Group provides tuition insurance to help protect the investment you are making in your child's education. 

We use Clarity to process financial aid applications. Based on the financial information you provide, Clarity gives us an estimated amount your family can contribute to our tuition. This estimate, coupled with school policies and practices, is a starting point to help us make fair and objective decisions. While Kents Hill is unable to make a financial aid award to every student who is accepted and demonstrates need, historically nearly half of students receive need-based or merit financial aid. Parents and/or guardians of new admissions applicants who would like to be considered for financial aid are required to complete the financial aid application and submit all required documents.

• Visit the Clarity platform here.
• Use your email and choose a password to create your account. 
• Complete your household and applicant information. The entire application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. 
• Select Kents Hill School as the school you are applying to.
• Sign and submit a Form 4506c to give Clarity permission to pull your prior year tax returns. This means you won't need to upload any of them yourself! (For Canadian families, you will need to upload your T-4’s.)
• International families will automatically be asked to complete the International Student Financial Profile form and will need to upload verification documents.
• Submit a nonrefundable fee of $60.00 to process the application. 
• For the 2025-26 academic year, the application must be completed by January 15, 2025 for Prospective Families.

Out of concern for the health and welfare of all of our students, Kents Hill School requires that every student be covered by a comprehensive injury and sickness plan. All International Students (not including Canadian students) who do not have coverage with a United States-based insurance company will automatically be enrolled in the United HealthCare Student Resource health plan with a fee of $2,495 prior to the start of the academic year. Students will be billed on their enrollment agreement for their International Health Insurance. 

MyKidsSpending (MKS) is your portal for managing and funding your student's on-campus spending at Kents Hill School. 

From a quick stop between classes at the Student Center to expected fees and charges (see above), MyKidsSpending (MKS) works with schools across the country, helping parents better manage, control, and fund their child's daily campus transactions.

Using the MyKidsSpending.com secure login system, parents and students can view account activity, add money to school spending accounts, and request PDF statements. Parents can register accounts for a single child, or multiple children, whether they're attending the same school or different schools.
