We are now accepting applications for the 26-27 academic year. Our priority deadline is January 15. All applications received after January 15 will be reviewed on a rolling basis. 
 
Please note we are still accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year with limited spots available. If you are interesting applying for this year, please reach out to us at 207-685-1612.

In addition to the Kents Hill School online application, we accept applications from SAO (SSAT) and Gateway to Prep Schools. 

*Please note that all applicants must complete the online inquiry form [Step 1] before proceeding to Kents Hill School application.

In addition to our online application, we require the following recommendation forms:

• English Recommendation 
• Math Recommendation 
• Counselor/Principal Recommendation  

From your Candidate Checklist, please click Send Request to your English Teacher, Math Teacher, and Guidance Counselor or Principal.

• Parent Recommendation 

Please complete the Parent Recommendation form from your Candidate Checklist.

Three years of transcripts are required. If student is applying for grade 9, transcripts for grades 6, 7, 8 are required. If student is applying for grade 11, transcripts for grades 8, 9, 10 are required.

The SSAT is recommended but not required for students applying for Grade 9 and 10. For incoming students in Grade 12 and Postgraduate, SAT and/or ACT scores are required. If you have educational testing please submit it with your application.

Students whose first language is not English must submit an official Second Language Test score in order to be considered for admission. We are accepting the following tests:

• The Duolingo English Assessment test, which can be found here.

• TOEFL Essentials test, which can be found here.

• TOEFL iBT test which can be found here.

  • Kents Hill's 4 digit TOEFL ID code is 7435

The deadline to apply for financial aid for the 2026-27 academic year is January 15. The Clarity Application opens on September 1. There is a non-refundable fee of $60 to process the application.

Our regular decision application deadline is January 15. Applications submitted after this date will move to rolling admissions. Admissions decisions will be sent out to applicants via email on March 10. Financial aid awards and admissions decisions will be issued concurrently.

To finalize enrollment, families are required to sign the Enrollment Agreement, which can be accessed through your acceptance email or via the Enrollment Checklist on the Finalsite Parent Portal.

In addition to the Enrollment Agreement, we require a deposit of $3,500 to secure your place and complete the enrollment process. Through our partnership with Flywire, students can submit payments safely and easily in their local currency, with access to real-time tracking and 24/7 multilingual support. In addition to Flywire, the enrollment deposit may be submitted via wire transfer, electronic check, or through the Diamond Mind payment platform.
