Hello from The Hill!

It is an exciting time to be a Kents Hill Husky! As we enter into our 200th year of supporting students along their academic and personal journeys, we continue to look ahead to the future and focus on what students will need to flourish in our ever changing world. At Kents Hill School, our educational experience is framed by our Four Cornerstones; Prepared For Anything, In Your Corner, All The Time, Built on Belonging, and Grounded in Maine, Connected to the World.

As you embark on your journey to explore Kents Hill School, you will discover how together, these Cornerstones are the foundation of everything we do. You will also discover that Kents Hill has a long history of holistically educating our students, because we know that academic outcomes are only part of the equation; and that happy students who have healthy relationships with themselves, their peers, and the adults in their lives are much better prepared for college and life.

We look forward to welcoming you for a visit to our beautiful campus so you can discover why we are the Best Private and Best Boarding School in Maine!

I chose Kents Hill School because of the overall feel of campus when I came for a tour. While walking around with my tour guide, I saw students who were engaged with their teachers, and everyone we saw was so welcoming. To me, it was an environment and a community that I wanted to be a part of, and a place where I could envision myself being pushed to grow in all areas of my life.

When I first stepped foot on campus, I was immediately welcomed.  From being supported every step of the way by my teachers, to living in a dorm with boys I now call my brothers, I know I'm a part of a community that cares. I have made strong relationships with people from all over the world. Now whenever I go back home for a break, I catch myself referring to Kents Hill as home.

Class connections week was the moment I realized I made the right decision to come to Kents Hill. I was nervous about starting a new school year in a new place, but those nerves quickly went away as I met other new students and teachers. I began to get to know classmates from around the world. We bonded over music, sports, and life experiences. The connections I made on this trip are unforgettable and will last a lifetime.

What drew me to Kents Hill was how welcoming the community was, for day students and boarding students alike. The people here make an effort to help everyone feel like they’re part of the community, no matter where you’re from, or how long you’ve been at the school. Even though I’m only here during school hours, I have met people from all over the world and made lifelong friends who I build connections with on and off campus.
