Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach
Position Overview
Kents Hill is seeking a Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach who is passionate about the role athletics can play in the education and character development of student-athletes. The coach will be responsible for player and team development, and committed to building and sustaining a competitive program that will represent Kents Hill in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).
The Head Coach is also responsible for the administrative operations of the team, including managing and reporting player and team statistics, recording player attendance, filming games, coordinating game schedules and transportation, and other duties assigned by the Athletic Director in support of a safe and dynamic player experience.
Working in conjunction with the Admissions Office, they will recruit student-athletes and guide prospective families through all stages of the admissions process. In addition, the Head Coach will work collaboratively with the College Counseling Office in helping student-athletes who wish to play at the collegiate level after they graduate.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to support players from a diverse set of backgrounds, experiences, and abilities, and possess a strong ethical coaching philosophy with an emphasis on player development and positive team culture.
The season begins on August 31, 2023, and runs through Mid-November. Practices are held on campus Monday-Friday for 90 minutes between the hours of 3-6 p.m. ET.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree preferred
-
3-5 years of coaching experience at the high school, club, or college level

Knowledge of NCAA college soccer programs and the recruiting process for student-athletes

Certifications appropriate to the relevant sport, division, or other regulating agency

Valid driver’s license

Positive attitude and collaborative spirit

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
