  • Step 1: Submit Inquiry Form

    Thank you for your interest in Kents Hill School! Please tell us more about yourself and your interests by filling out our online inquiry form. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact the Admissions Office directly at 207-685-1606 or
    We are now accepting applications for the 21-22 academic year. Our priority deadline is January 15, 2021. All applications received after January 15 will be reviewed on a rolling basis. 
    Please note we are still accepting applications for the 2020-21 school year with limited spots available. 
  • Step 2: Schedule a Tour and Interview

    We are so excited to show you what Kents Hill has to offer. Please contact our Admissions Office to set up a personal virtual tour and interview at 207-685-1606 or

    As we navigate the challenges of COVID-19, on-campus visits are temporarily suspended, however, we plan to reopen for in-person tours very soon. Please contact the Admissions Office at 207-685-1606 to find out the on-campus visit status and if necessary to set up a Zoom or Skype interview. Please enjoy a virtual tour of campus here! 
  • Step 3: Apply Online

    In addition to the Kents Hill School online application, we are proud to accept applications from SAO (SSAT) and Gateway to Prep Schools

  • Step 4: Submit Recommendation Forms

    In addition to our online application, we require the following recommendation forms:

  • Step 5: Submit Transcript

    Applicants must submit a transcript from their current school along with any additional school records or academic testing available.

  • Step 6: Submit Applicable Testing

    The SSAT is recommended but not required for incoming freshmen and sophomores. For incoming seniors and Academic Gap Year students, SAT and/or ACT scores are required. If you have educational testing please submit it with your application.

    Students whose first language is not English must submit an official Second Language Test score in order to be considered for admission. We are accepting the Duolingo English Assessment test. This is an online test that costs only $49. The test can be found here.
  • Step 7: Submit Financial Aid Application

    The deadline to apply for financial aid for the 2021-22 academic year is January 15, 2021. The SSS Financial Aid Application opens on October 2, 2020.   • Step 8: Receive and Review Decision

    Kents Hill School admissions applications are reviewed on a rolling basis with a priority deadline of January 15. Applicants will be notified via email when decisions are available. Financial aid awards and admissions decisions will be issued concurrently.

Admissions on the Road

Kents Hill School's Admissions Team will be traveling throughout the country and around the world and would be delighted to meet with you! We will be attending fairs and programs, conducting school visits, scheduling interviews with prospective students and families, and meeting with educational consultants and school placement professionals. If you would like to schedule a remote interview or conversation, please contact the Admissions Office at 207-685-1606 or

Educational Consultants

Kents Hill School has cultivated valuable relationships with educational consultants and school placement professionals across the globe.

Individual or group programming can be arranged as requested, ensuring that educational placement professionals have a clear and comprehensive view of Kents Hill's unique offerings. Visits can include a full campus tour, the opportunity to observe learning and teaching, and individualized meetings with senior faculty representatives from the Academic Coaching Program, College and University Placement, Community and Residential Life, Health Center and Student Services, and more.
