An excellent, personalized education - Since its founding in 1824, Kents Hill has offered a superb college preparatory education in a nurturing, supportive setting for its students.

Access and diversity- Despite a modest endowment, Kents Hill has traditionally provided some level of financial assistance to at least 50 percent of its students, a much higher proportion than many of its competitors. We are proud of this tradition of offering an education to a diverse population - geographically, economically and socially.

Underwriting education for all - Tuition typically covers only 80 percent of Kents Hill's operating costs. The balance comes mainly from Annual Fund gifts and from proceeds of the annual Fall Auction. Your support of these two key drives helps the school maintain the margin of excellence in its programs for students and faculty and in maintaining the campus.

A historic campus - Kents Hill has a marvelous 180-year history - and aging buildings that are part of this legacy. The historic campus we love continually needs renovation and new construction if we are to keep pace with the educational needs of our students and stay competitive in today's admissions marketplace.

And finally …

Your gift is meaningful and important - Gifts both large and small truly do mean a great deal more to Kents Hill than to many heavily endowed independent schools and colleges.

"Tolerance is all about trying to see something differently with an open mind. We need to have understanding, to be able to see through someone else's eyes, and not to judge others for being who they are. I think that's the only way to peacefully live together while learning something new at the same time.
The world is full of beautiful differences, so why not embrace them?"
