International Students: The World at Kents Hill

With more than 18 countries represented at Kents Hill School, ours is truly a global community.
By the time international students graduate from Kents Hill, many have assumed leadership roles within the school; and the entire community has benefited from living and working with students from around the world. Systems and programs have been developed to support international students in their transition to life at Kents Hill and ensure that theirs is an optimal experience.

Key Connections

Anne Richardson and Michael Brackett direct the International Program. Working closely with student ambassadors, teachers and advisors, they ensure that international students have a smooth transition to the United States and an excellent experience at Kents Hill School. An International Orientation Program is held each fall where new international students meet Student Ambassadors, who are returning U.S. and international students who provide additional support.

The Go Global Club! is open to any student who wants to expand his/her horizons and learn about new cultures. It sponsors a variety of activities throughout the year including an International Festival.  International students share their culinary background with the entire school when they host and cook an annual International Dinner.

Local Kents Hill families are delighted to serve as host families for international students during long weekends and shorter vacations. Mrs. Richardson works carefully with students and parents to ensure that everyone who needs a host family receives one.  The school also works closely with many reputable vacation program providers.
