LIZ CROSS MELLEN LODGE
The Liz Cross Mellen Lodge, built in 1998, provides a spectacular view of Torsey Pond. Perched at the top of the hill, it is a complete storage and tuning facility as well as a great place to spend a winter afternoon in one of two comfortable reception rooms.
KENTS HILL SKI CLUB
Open to area residents, this is a ski racing training program for intermediate and higher skiers. Eligible athletes must be able to ski ALL intermediate terrain. There are two age groups, seniors: ages 15-18 and juniors: ages 10-14. The program runs on Mondays and Thursdays, beginning in January and running through March.
THE THIRD ANNUAL MARLEE RACE: A RACE TO REMEMBER A HUGE SUCCESS!
Skiers and onlookers all enjoyed a colorful race day on March 15th (rescheduled from March 1st.). This annual benefit alpine ski race, in memory of Marlee Johnson, is open to all middle school athletes, either individuals or teams, as well as second year J4's and J3's. The entrance fee benefits the Marlee Johnston Memorial Scholarship Fund at Kents Hill School, and each racer receives a free T-shirt. Racers are encouraged to wear bright colors and enjoy the day in honor of Marlee's spirit and love of skiing.
