Any Kents Hill teacher who taught the Howe Boys have stories of Geoff and Mike’s exploits and often express amazement that their mother, Dee Dee Wheelock ‘64, survived it all.  Their curiosity about how things work lead to a high school hobby in radio controlled cars which evolved into an interest in a certain yellow muscle car that could be heard roaring up and down route 17 once the boys had their driver’s licenses.  Both of these high school hobbies, along with the Howe Boy’s innate curiosity and knack for figuring mechanical things out, have lead to Geoff and Mike’s Ripsaw being named Invention of the Year by Popular Science magazine.
