Kents Hill Field Hockey Players Make College Teams

Three former Kents Hill Field Hockey players have made their college teams as first year students.  Casey-Rae Feeney '10 is playing for Washington and Jefferson College, Meg Richardson '10 is playing for Smith College, and Amy Hilton '10 is playing goalie for Manhattanville College.  All three ladies have seen playing time in early season games.  Congratulations all!

Spring Athletic Awards

Congratulations to all of the Kents Hill teams on successul spring seasons. Varsity softball, varsity baseball, and varsity boys and girls tennis all brought home MAISAD titles, and the Athletic Department is proud of how much effort and dedication the student-athletes put into the final sports season of the year.

Sam Kiesel '09 earns Rookie of the Year honors

Sam Kiesel, a member of the class of 2009, earned the honor of Little East Conference "Rookie of the Year" for lacrosse this spring. Sam plays goalie for the University of Southern Maine team, and as a freshman she has put up impressive numbers. These numbers include 227 saves in 19 games (.530 goals against average), 11.95 save average per game, and 8 games where she recorded at least 14 saves - including a game against Keene State College where she earned 19 saves. Her talent in goal did not go unnoticed, with Sam earning LEC Rookie of the Week, LEC Goalie of the Week, and ECAC Co-Defensiver Player of the Week over the course of the season. Sam and her teammates made it to their first Little East Conference Championship and earned their first trip to the NCAA tournament.

Sam spent four years at Kents Hill. As a three sport athlete, she made significant contributions to the lacrosse, ice hockey and soccer programs. Congratulations to Sam on her accomplishments this spring!
