Some exciting news on a couple of our recent alumni - Bianca Bogda '09, Melissa Rundlett '08, Emily Goff '07 and Sarah Scardino '07, who play for Norwich University women's hockey team, will be playing in the women's DIII Frozen Four against Elmira College on Friday, March 19th, at the Lund Athletic Center, Gustavus Adolphus College, Saint Peter, MN. Wish them luck!
UPDATE: The Norwich Cadets suffered a 7-2 loss to No. 1-ranked Amherst College in the national title game on Saturday, March 20th at the Don Roberts Ice Rink on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College.
William J. Brennan '70 named President of Maine Maritime Academy

William J. Brennan, class of 1970, has been named President of Maine Maritime Academy. Mr. Brennan has a long career in environmental policy, serving both the state of Maine and the nation. The press release from Maine Maritime Academy states, "He has served as the Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere, as Administrator of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a $4 billion federal agency with 12,500 employees, and as Commissioner of the Maine Department of Marine Resources, a cabinet-level state agency. In addition, Brennan served for several years as the Director of the U. S. Climate Change Science Program, managing the government-supported research of 13 federal agencies and White House Offices. He began his career at sea in the merchant marine, working in both the deck and engine departments, and as a fisherman in Maine's commercial fisheries.
